Currency Exchange
The currency exchange allows you to buy and sell (L$) Linden Dollars using
USD, as well as other currencies that Paypal converts. You can also transfer money into your LLBT account from a credit card or bank account through Paypal,
and transfer USD from your LLBT account to your Paypal account.
Buying L$ (Linden Dollars) using Paypal
- 1. Deposit some money into your account by clicking Deposit USD.
- 2. Buy L$ by clicking Buy L$.
Selling L$ (Linden Dollars) and sending the proceeds to Paypal
- 1. Sell some L$ by clicking Sell L$.
- 2. Send the proceeds to Paypal by clicking Withdraw USD.
LLBT Fees
LLBT offers very low transaction fees.
- Trades. LLBT charges a 1% fee to the party selling L$.
So if you sell $4 USD worth of Lindens, LLBT takes $0.04 USD and puts $3.96 USD
in your account.
- Withdrawal. LLBT charges a flat fee of $1 USD on withdrawals, which we use
to cover Paypal's fee. So if you withdraw $200 USD to your Paypal account, LLBT
takes $1 USD and sends $199 to your Paypal account.
Paypal Fees
Note that Paypal has a transaction fee that they apply for Payments we send.
For most people, that fee is currently 2.9% plus $0.30 USD.
